Winter can be a difficult time for nature, particularly our native birds. With the cold conditions birds use a huge amount of energy and food sources can become quite limited and difficult to find.

To give nature a lift some of our clients decided to make bird feeders from used pop bottles and plastic cups. After researching different designs and purchasing bird seed, lard and sticks for perches the team set to work mixing, cutting and filling their designs along with attaching strings with which to hang them.

The next part is to go out on a walk and find the best places to site their creations.

Later on in the year we will revisit the sites and check on the success and clear away any of the plastic waste to ensure that we leave a clean environment in our countryside.
