Space Inclusive is a support service for autistic adults and people with learning disabilities. In 2023, we opened our first supported living service to complement our successful and established day services. In partnership with Nottingham City Council. Due to expansion we are looking for additional team members to support people in their new homes.
We would like to appoint creative, enthusiastic and committed support workers, to work varying shifts on a rota basis, based around Nottingham/Nottinghamshire area. The new homes are specifically for adults with a Learning Disability and/or Autism.
As a Support Worker, you will work to help people to live fulfilled and happy lives, promoting independence in both their home and the community. You will help people to develop positive relationships, and to participate as equal members of the local community.
Our registered manager supports the team to be creative in their approach and proactive in their support. Our commitment to person centred support is key for all staff to enable the people we support achieve their aims and objectives. You will also be expected to carry out everyday tasks including prompting and supporting with personal care and taking part in a range of interests and activities that make up a healthy, well balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.

We would like to hear from people with a minimum of 1 year’s proven experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We offer a full training programme that provides opportunities for you to develop your career in the social care sector.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a positive and encouraging personality, enjoy sharing skills and knowledge, with proven experience of working alongside individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism.
You will be willing to support people with complex physical needs and wheelchair users.
